In the role of Natalie
Audrey Liebot was born in Nantes, where she studied acting at a local conservatory while also completing degrees in literature (classes prépartoires aux grandes écoles and a Master in Comparative Literature). In Paris, she took classes with Laura Benson and Jérôme Méla at the International Studio of Théâtre Blanche Salant. She acted in and collaborated creatively on theatrical productions before joining the University of Paris 10 Nantarre’s 2011-2013 Stage Direction and Theatrical Arts Master’s cohort. While in the Master’s program, she worked in particular with texts by Büchner, Duras, Lagarce, Kane, and Strindberg, exploring the place of the subject in norms, loss, and absence. She primarily explores contemporary writing, including the work of the American Naomi Wallace. Recently she created a short version of the play The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek, for which she also produced a happening at Journées Igloo d'Asnières in February 2013. This piece was loosely adapted into a short film titled Pace Creagan, which she directed in 2012. She worked as an assistant for Florent Trochel (Hana San Studio) on the creation of Montagne 42 (MA scène nationale de Montbéliard). She is now performing in Moderato, which was created in September 2013 in Paris. She is forming her own troupe for a production of Sarah Kane’s Crave.
